マーニーリウス『アストロノミカ』の読解と翻訳はおおむね順調に進み，複数の注釈書・研究文献を比較しながら，とりわけ今年度は本文の問題についても検討を重ねた．その研究成果として，この詩人の文体，とりわけ（民間）語源的関連付けを活かした修辞の存在を明らかにし，その観点から，読みの分かれる詩行について新しい解釈を提示した．すなわち，「雫stilla」と「星stella」との間にある疑似語源的関係を詩人が念頭に置いていることを指摘し，文法的・文体的観点から「より難しい読みlectio difficilior」をこそ採用すべきであるという議論を行った．この内容はフィロロギカ研究集会にて口頭発表の上，Manilius 5.604: Pseudoetymological Figures in Astronomicaというタイトルのもと論文を同研究会誌に投稿，査読を経て掲載が決定している．また2018年に刊行された逸身喜一郎『ギリシャ・ラテン文学――韻文の系譜をたどる15章』の書評を『西洋古典学研究』67号に発表した．ギリシア・ローマの文学を，時系列や言語ではなくジャンルとその継承・発展に注目して文学史を描きなおすという本書の視点に触れることで，筆者自身の主題とする詩人の位置づけについても考察を深める機会となった．上記に加え，そのことと関連した新たな観点として，ヘレニズム期からローマ世界へと継承されていった知的伝統のひとつとしての「百科全書思想encyclopaedism」に関する研究を行った．ローマ帝政期に顕著な発展を見せたこの思想潮流の中に『アストロノミカ』が位置づけられるのではないかという問題を調査し，その内容は西洋古典学会大会にて発表が受理されている．
