项目摘要

本年度は，昨年度から引き続き「選挙制度と民主制のダイナミクス」における実証研究のための新たな方法論の開発を主として行った。まず，昨年度から引き続き，コンジョイント実験によって得られたデータから回答者間の異質性の構造を推定し，この回答者の異質性によって平均因果効果がどのように異なるかを分析する手法を新たに開発している。この研究は長期在外研究としてMITにおいて共同研究を行ったものである。この研究では，政策の束から成るプロフィールを一対比較させるコンジョイント実験において，有権者の政策に対する選好が有権者間で異なることを空間投票モデルを用いて理論化し，項目反応理論モデルを用いてその潜在的な構造を推定している。現在はこれまでに行われてきたコンジョイント実験のデータへの応用を行うとともに，数値シミュレーションによりどのような状況下で推定を安定的に行うことができるのかを検証している。また，昨年度よりcensoringを中心とした欠測データに対する対処についての研究を行ってきた。今年度はcensoringに限られないより一般的な場合における欠測データに対する方法論の開発を行った。その結果，欠測確率を推定する際に，最終的なquantities of interestに合わせて推定方法を変えることでより効率的かつ頑健な推定を行うことができるようになるということが明らかになった。現在は論文の投稿準備と統計パッケージの開発を行っている。
