项目摘要

本研究の課題は、ショーペンハウアーの哲学、特にその救済思想（「意志の否定」論）を中世キリスト教思想の受容と展開という点から明らかにすることにある。最終年度にあたる本年度は、昨年度の研究成果を踏まえつつ、当初の年次計画通り(2) 普遍と特殊、(3) 自由意志と恩恵、というテーマから研究課題を遂行した。(2)について、ショーペンハウアーが中世スコラ学の「個体化の原理」というタームを用いて現象界の数多性を説明している点に着目し、「一者」としての意志（普遍）とその現象である個体（特殊）の問題を、トマスやスアレス、ロック、ライプニッツの個体論なども参照しながら検討した。これにより、中世スコラ学からスアレス、近世哲学を経由してショーペンハウアーへと至る「個体化の原理」の哲学・思想史的系譜を文献的な裏付けをもって解明することができた。(3)について、ショーペンハウアーの「意志の否定」論とキリスト教の恩恵論との関係性を、エゴイズム（我意）の放棄という共通項から考察することを試みた。昨年度の研究成果からショーペンハウアーの「意志の否定」論とキリスト教の神秘主義、聖人論との間に予想以上に深い関連があることが判明したため、彼が「意志の否定」の体現者と見なしているアッシジの聖フランチェスコを考察の対象とした。ショーペンハウアーの所蔵していた『聖ボナヴェントゥラによる聖フランチェスコ伝』（ビヒャルト編、1847年）の書き込みの検討を行い、彼がフランチェスコのうちに清貧・禁欲・同情という「意志の否定」において重要とされる三つの要素を見出していたこと、またフランチェスコの人間と自然への歓びに溢れた生活のうちに本来的な自己を実現・現実化する積極的な生（人生）の肯定のあり方を見出していたことなどを確認した。

The subject of this study is the philosophy of the mind, the special salvation thought (the theory of "will negation"), the development of the tolerance of the middle age teaching thought, and the point of light.
