The active compression based Jones matrix optical coherence elastography (JM-OCE) has been established. The hardware of the system and its post-processing method has been upgraded and modified, such that the imaging depth range has been enlarged and the quality and accuracy of local birefringence imaging for tissues has been improved.Finally, the simultaneous imaging of intensity OCT, local birefringence, in-plane lateral and axial displacement, microstructural decorrelation / deformation (MSD) for biological tissues has been demonstrated. The results indicate that JM-OCE would provide more comprehensive information for biological tissue investigation.
