本研究の主眼である1)移行期正義と民主化、2)移行期正義とクーデタ、3)移行期正義と国内紛争の終結、4)移行期正義と国内紛争の再発について、非常に簡素ではあるがゲーム理論的なモデルを提示した。しかしながら、当初の計画ではこの4つ全てに対して計量分析を行う予定であったが、昨年度までの分析である2)と3)のロバストネス・チェックに想定以上の時間を要したため、1)及び4)に関しては理論モデルを提示するのみに留まった。移行期正義とクーデタの関係を対象とした分析では、新たに公開された移行期正義のデータセットを用いつつ、昨年度の分析モデルに新たに「真実委員会の設置」を変数として投入した。人権裁判の実施がクーデタを誘発する可能性がある一方で、予想に反し、真実委員会の設置はクーデタの発生に対して有意な影響を与えているとは言えない事が明らかとなった。この点に関し、ラテンアメリカ及びアフリカ諸国を対象とした事例分析を行なった結果、真実委員会の活動が刑事訴追につながるケースが存在する事が明らかとなった。つまり、真実委員会がクーデタに対し与える影響はその活動内容にまで注目して分析する必要がある事が示されたと言えるが、これは今後の課題としたい。また、周辺国における(移行期正義としての)人権裁判の実施と国内紛争の長期化に関する分析では、裁判の対象・時期・地域を考慮したロバストネス・チェックを行なった。「民主主義体制下では人権裁判のリスクが高まると紛争が長期化する傾向にある」という昨年度までに得られていた結果と大きく異なることはなかったが、サンプル規模の縮小により、地域的な偏りがある可能性を完全に排除することはできなかった。一連の分析結果から、移行期正義、特に人権裁判が時として体制の不安定化(クーデタ)や平和の阻害(紛争の長期化)をもたらす可能性がある事が示唆されたと言える。
