In this research, we investigated the current induced effective magnetic field, called spin-orbit torque (SOT) from inversion asymmetric superlattice structure. A few atomic layers of Pt, Co, and W are deposited and repeated to form inversion asymmetric superlattice. In this structure, large SOT is found at specific tungsten thickness and correlated with crystal and electronic structure. This implies this non-centrosymmetric superlattice structure can be designed by using the electronic structure. This non-centrosymmetirc superlattice possessing large SOT could be utilized as a future magnetic memory device for low power density.
