项目摘要

今年度は、博士課程の３年目であり、資料調査を進めると共に、規定年度内での修了を目標に、博士論文の執筆を中心的に行った。ただし、昨年度末から引き続いている世界的な新型コロナウイルスの流行を受け、学外での調査活動や学会報告およびアウトリーチ活動は大きく制限を受けた。ただし、九州大学図書館の資料取り寄せサービスと研究協力者の支援を受け、関連史料を収集した。また、1980年代に辛基秀の主宰で行われた「朝鮮通信使旅の会」と「ちょっと待て！大阪築城400年まつり」の関係者と接触することが出来、未刊行の資料（旅行日誌）の提供を受けた他、ZOOMを用いたインタビューを行った。以上の成果を踏まえ、年度中盤からは博士論文の執筆に注力し、博士論文（題「「朝鮮通信使」をめぐる戦後日本市民社会の歴史実践：在日朝鮮人歴史家・辛基秀（1931-2002）の活動を中心に」）を提出することが出来た。当該論文は1970年代以降に顕著な盛り上がりを見せて来た朝鮮通信使をめぐる歴史実践の様相を描くものである。特に、日本における通信使研究の嚆矢となった在日朝鮮人歴史家・辛基秀（1931-2002）をキーパーソンに据え、彼がなぜ通信使の歴史に着目したのか、ナショナルな境界を生きる在日朝鮮人個人にとって通信使の歴史実践はどのような意義をもったのかを分析すると共に、社会運動や地域おこしの観点から通信使に着目した多様なアクターたちを、辛基秀との関係性から見たネットワーク上に有機的に結びつけることで、戦後日本の市民社会において行われた日本・韓国・朝鮮をめぐる越境的な歴史実践の広がりを跡付けるものである。提出した博士論文は予備審査、公開審査会を経て、受理に至り、令和3年3月31日付で博士号（学術）の授与が決定した。今後は、博士論文の加筆修正を行い、単著としての出版に向けた準備を行っていきたい。
