中国語は客観的事態把握を好む言語であると言われるが，その傾向は官話と呼ばれる北方方言においてとくに顕著である。北方方言では，話し手は事態の外に身を置いて，傍観者ないし観察者の視点から事態を捉える客観的事態把握を好む傾向が見られる。これに対して，東南地域の諸方言では，話し手は事態の中に身を置いて，体験者の視点から事態を捉える主観的事態把握を好む傾向が見られる。東南方言に見られるこうした傾向は，日本語にも共通する性質であることが明らかになった。近年の認知言語学の研究成果によって，事態把握に関する中国語の特徴がさまざまな観点から明らかにされている。しかし，それらは何れも北方方言を基礎とした“普通話(標準語)”のデータに基づいた分析である。東南地域の諸方言では，北方方言とは異なり，主観的な事態把握に基づく言語表現が好んで用いられるという事実が看過されてきた。本研究は，中国東南地域の諸方言のヴォイスに関する事態把握の特徴を明らかにするために，最新の認知言語学の成果を取り込みながら，比較方言文法の手法を用いて中国東南方言のヴォイスに関する事態把握の特徴の解明を行っている。令和４年度は，処置文と受事主語文に関する分析を集中的に行った。東南方言では処置文の使用頻度が低いといわれているが，各地のデータを詳細に分析すると，その使用条件にはかなり違いがあることが明らかとなった。また，処置文の使用頻度が低い地域では，それに代わる形式として，SSV型の受事主語文が多用されることも明らかとなった。北方方言ではきわめて成立が難しいといわれるSSV型の受事主語文が東南方言において多用されることと，処置文の使用頻度が低いことには，事態把握の違いに関わる構文的な関連があることを各地の方言データに基づいて実証的に明らかにした。
