项目摘要

本研究の目的は、分配的正義論における「いつの平等か」の観点から医療資源の公正な分配の基準を明らかにすることである。医療資源の分配においては、分配的正義論の多くは、分配の時間的射程に関して「全生涯」を前提とするだけでは不十分であり、ライフステージや年齢が影響を及ぼす健康問題も考慮する必要がある。2022年度は、①医療資源の公正な分配の時間射程と②分配理念と時間を予定していた。まず、①について、パンデミック下の治療の優先順位について若年者優先はフェア・イニングス論から正当化できるかを検討した。COVID-19感染拡大による医療資源不足が深刻化した際に、年齢を治療の優先順位の指標とすべきかが議論された。フェア・イニングス論は、高齢者はすでに十分に人生の機会に恵まれたとみなせるので、若年者の利益を優先すべきとしている。パンデミック下でフェア・イニングス論が支持できれば、年齢を指標ととすべきと言えるだろう。そこで、本研究では、フェア・イニングス論の背景となる理論として、生存年数説、思慮深いライフスパン説、補償による人生全体説を取り上げ、パンデミック下でのフェア・イニングス論の正当化を検討した。これは、研究会で報告し、ピアレビューを得た後、現在論文として投稿中である。次に②については、不確実性下における公正性の追求について文献調査を通じた論点抽出をおこなった。また、十分主義批判にたいする応答論文を刊行した。
