项目摘要

アカデミックライティングの教科書やガイドブックには，しばしば，「客観的な事実のみを書く」や「書き手の主観は排除する」といった規範が記され，授業の中でも「意見と事実を区別する」や「一人称で始まる文は避ける」といった規範が明示的に指導されることがある．そして，このような文体が「権威づけられた規範」として長い時間を経て再生産され，広くアカデミアの世界に浸透している．本研究は，こうした規範がいつどのように誕生し， 21世紀のアカデミックライティングにも当てはまるのかどうかを検証することを目的に実施された．主なデータは，刊行年別 (1962年と2022年を比較）多分野論文コーパスである．本研究では，昨年度は，医学，生物学，社会学，応用言語学の４分野に焦点を当てたが，本年度は，さらに幅広い学術分野における文体を確認すべく，医学，化学，経営学，教育学の4分野を選んだ．データ分析の結果，アカデミックライティングの文体はその時代の科学研究そのものの定義や位置づけと切り離せず，時代とともに変化する動的なものであることが明らかになった．そして，書き手が選択する言語資源は1960年代と2020年代では顕著に異なり，絶対的な真実に限りなく近づけようとする文体から，現実世界の多様性に配慮する文体へと変化してきたことが明らかになった．この結果は，昨年度に別の分野を対象に実施した調査で得られた結果を支持するものであり，この文体変化の傾向は幅広い学術分野に当てはまる可能性が示唆された。本研究結果に基づき，21世紀の高年次学習者層に対するアカデミックライティング教育・支援のあり方について提案すべく，国際誌への論文の投稿と国内の学会・研究会での講演を行った。
