第二言語学習者による文法的誤りがコミュニケーション活動に及ぼす影響について検討するため、自己ペース読み課題を用いた読解時間データを基準として文法的誤りの客観的評価を試みることが本研究の目的である。具体的な手順として、PCを用いた実験により読解時間を測定し、文法的誤りを含む文(誤文)を読むことがどのように他の文法的に正しい文(正文)の読解活動に影響を及ぼしているかを調査していく。本年度は研究2年目として、昨年度の文献調査により検討したテーマ（日本語の副詞の誤用）について実験プログラムを作成し、実験を開始することができた。当初は、学習者の間違いやすい文法項目である日本語助詞の誤用について実験をする予定であったが、より目立ち度（saliency）が高く、条件間で読解時間の差が現れると予測される副詞の使用について調査することを優先した。次年度において副詞の誤用に関する実験が終了次第、助詞の誤用についても実験を開始して検討していく予定である。併せて、副詞の誤用に関する実験結果を学会の口頭発表や学術論文の形で報告していく。また今年度は、英語の文法項目の誤りについても、日本語の文法項目の誤りを選択する際に基準としたsaliencyの観点から文法項目を検討をした。しかし同時に、処理可能性仮説（Pienemann, 1998）等の発達段階に関する考えも踏まえ、学習者にとって有意義な項目を調査する必要があるため、次年度以降も検討を重ねる予定である。
