项目摘要

近代染織品の文化財としての重要性の高まりに伴い、こうした文化財を構成する材質の保存修復に関わる研究が求められている。近代染織品に用いられている合成染料をはじめとする当時の新規素材には、光や湿潤などの様々な外的要因に対して非常に脆弱なものがあることは経験的に認識されているが、その詳細については明らかでない点が多い。本研究では、明治期に用いられた主要な初期合成染料を対象として、文化財の保存修復・展示に関わる外的要因の中でも、とくに重要であると考えられる光による染色堅牢性や変退色に関わる知見の蓄積を行うことを目的としている。2年目の本年度は、染料の色調保持に関わる要因として重要な光の影響を評価するため、露光試験を実施した。露光試験は、JIS L0843:2006「キセノンアーク灯光に対する染色堅ろう度試験方法」の第5露光法に準じ、依頼試験により行った。まず選定した初期合成染料の中から、一般に絹繊維に適用する塩基性染料4点、酸性染料5点を用いて染色絹布を準備した。次に、これらの染色絹布と基準試料であるブルースケール（1級～6級）を一緒に露光し、積算露光量の異なる変退色サンプルを作成した。さらに、露光を行った変退色サンプルについて、分光測色計を用いてL*a*b*値および分光反射スペクトル（波長範囲360～740nm）を測定した。現在、取得データの整理・分析を行っている。また、これまでの文献調査により収集した明治期の初期合成染料に関わる情報をまとめて学会発表を行った。
