本研究は、1549年から1614年まで日本で宣教活動を行なったイエズス会宣教師が書いた書簡や報告書などの史料の分析を通じて、イエズス会宣教師が見た日本の建築及び都市空間を明らかにすることを目的とする。2022年では、戦国時代日本に関するイエズス会の史料の調査を行なった。調査の結果では、前回の調査から新たに電子化されて史料が多く、オンラインで公開されている史料の数が増えたことがわかった。ポルトガル国立図書館やスペイン国立図書館に加えて、フランス（GALICA）とイギリス（British Museum)にも史料があることが明らかになった。のそのため、購入予定の史料の電子コーピーを再検討していて、2023年度以降に購入することに変更した。同時に、5年前の研究で取得したReal Academia de Historia de Madridの史料とBiblioteca da Ajudaから取得した史料の再解読と分析も行なった。その結果、初期の活動では、イエズス会が教会として使っていた建物は、木造で、日本の伝統工法で作られていた。そして、内部空間用のretabuloなどの飾りやミサで利用する道具を使い回ししていたことがわかった。現在の北九州の地域で、船で教会の内部飾りを運んでいて、１式を複数の教会で使い回ししていたことがわかった。

This paper analyzes the historical materials of missionary activities in Japan from 1549 to 1614. A survey of historical materials related to the Japanese National Congress in 2022 was conducted. The results of the investigation are as follows: the number of new electronic historical materials has increased, and the number of public historical materials has increased.
