数理的構造に基づく構成の体系化にあたり、当初は構成のプロセスを「①構造の設定」「②配置の目安とする要素の選択（点・線・面のいずれか）」「③形の分布の決定」「④配置の実行」の4段階に分けて捉えていた。しかし、今年度新たに収集した資料をもとに改めて表現効果との関連を考察した結果、「③形の分布の決定」は「ラベリング（操作対象の決定）」と「操作内容の設定」に区分して捉えた方が多様なアプローチを体系的に整理しやすいことが分かった。つまり、②までのプロセスでは構造の点・線・面のどの要素に注目するのか決定し、「③ラベリング」ではその要素に沿って特定の範囲を指示するラベルを貼り付け、「④操作内容の設定」ではそのラベルの範囲に形を定着させるための具体的な操作内容を規定する、という流れである。この改変に連動して、続く⑤は「⑤操作の実行」と表記を変更することにした。さらに、上記の構成の基本的プロセス①から⑤に加えて、「構造の変形」「プロセスの循環的適用」の2種類を追加することにした。構造の変形とは、当初①で設定した構造を歪めたりずらしたりして変形する表現であり、これに該当する事例も多数ある。「プロセスの循環的適用」は基本プロセスの①から⑤を完了したのちに改めて①から④のいずれかのプロセスに戻ってさらに要素を追加したり削除したりするタイプのアプローチである。フラクタルなどの再帰的な構成が代表的だがそうでないものも見られ、区分の精査が必要である。この2種類の処理は数理的構造に基づく構成に必須のプロセスではないが、全ての表現事例をチャートの形式に当てはめて一般化するためには必須のオプションである。以上のように、本年度の調査および考察によって数理的構造に基づく構成のプロセスを体系化するための枠組みがより明確になった。
