令和4年度には、学術論文4編を発表し、著書2冊を刊行した。また海外招待講演を1回含め、学会発表を7回行った。論文「中国語の近代性と『英華大辞典』（1908）」は、日本の『新訳英和辞典』（1902）より訳語を全面的に取り入れた『英華大辞典』が中国語の近代化にどんな貢献をしたかを分析するものである。これにより日本語の関与の実態が明らかになった。著書『科学』は、概念史という視角から執筆した書物ではあるが、「科学」がscienceの訳語として成立した歴史を解明しただけでなく、関連語彙の整理、科学叙述の展開における語彙的基盤まで論じている。さらに著書『語彙力の獲得』においては、語彙力は、異なるもの・ことの名前をどれだけ言えるか、同じもの・ことの異なる名前をどれだけ言えるかと定義し、漢字文化圏における近代語の形成・交流という歴史的なまなざしから、語彙力の本質とその獲得法を分かりやすく説明している。議論はまた学習語彙の重要性と語彙力の獲得に貢献するシソーラスの役割に及んでいる。2022年10月、イタリアのVilla Vigoniに開催されたSinology networks: interdisciplinary spaces for China studiesと題する国際シンポジウムでは、「知識架構與術語的体系性」（知識の構造と学術用語の体系性について）という講演を行い、西洋の新知識の体系性とそれを伝えようとする訳語との間の関連性を分析した。参加者と知識の移動に対する言語面の対応法を議論した。2022年度の研究は、日本より20年余り遅れてスタートした中国の言文一致が如何に日本の語彙的資源を利用したかを中心に考察してきた。二字語という共通項存在するために日本資源の利用が可能、かつスムーズに行われたことを確認した。
