本研究では職場談話を対象に、その特徴について定型性という観点から分析・考察を行うものである。職場としては調査のしやすさ、近隣地域で働く外国人の数等を勘案して商業および農業分野を対象とする予定である。そして分析の結果、談話において話者に共通する特徴：当該談話の定型性を明らかにし、談話の定型性、日本語教育への援用可能性について考察を行うことを目指すものである。本年度は、実際の録音調査を行うための下準備を行った。まず、一定数の外国人就労者にアクセスできるという利便性、国内における外国人就労者の中の多数を占めるという人数の関係から、外国人就労者の中でも外国人技能実習生をターゲットの中心とし、活動を行った。まず、県内における外国人技能実習生の監理団体にコンタクトを取り、様子を聞いたり、研究についての話をし、調査協力依頼のための関係づくりを行った。また、実際の外国人就労者の日本語力や彼らが職場で困難を感じている日本語コミュニケーションについて調査すべく、外国人技能実習生を対象とした無料の日本語クラスをオンラインで毎週末（土曜日と日曜日の夜）実施し、日本語を教える中で彼らとコミュニケーションをとり、聞き取り調査を進めている。またコロナ禍が落ち着いたことから現地への訪問ができるようになったため、そのアポイントメントを取る作業も行い、来年度は実際に現地を訪問する予定である。さらに、本研究の調査を進めるための倫理審査の準備（申請書作成、先方への依頼文書、調査方法、承諾書等の作成）を行った。
