形態論的気づき(Morphological Awareness)に基づく医学用語の理解と学習を促進するための教材の開発を行った。主要な教材としては、学習者に医学用語の構造に関する意識を持たせるために、（１）医学用語を接辞や連結形といった機能と意味の単位に分割した単語パーツのマグネット―シートの教材を作成し、授業内で単語パーツを連結して様々な医学用語をつくる活動、（２）医学用語とそれらを構成する単語パーツを線で結び、ネットワーク図を作成して単語パーツと医学用語の相互関係を理解する課題、（３）e-learningを活用し、医学用語を構成する接辞や連結形の意味や日本語に適する英語の医学用語を選択したり、入力したりする活動、（４）パワーポイントで医学用語の構造を図解したオンライン資料の提供、（５）医学用語カルタの実施、の5つであった。これらの活動と教材は、大学2年生対象の必修英語の授業（英語Ⅲ・英語Ⅳ・各1コマ90分、 全15回の対面授業）と選択の英語演習D(医学用語学習の授業）において活用した。英語演習Dの授業において指導効果検証のために質問紙調査を行った。質問紙の分析の結果、全体として学習者は教材や授業内容に満足しており、学習者の単語パーツに対する意識が高まり、医学用語学習を継続したいという意識も高まっていること等が示唆された。

Morphological Awareness is the foundation for understanding and learning of medical terms and for developing teaching materials. The main teaching materials are related to the structure of medical terms, the consciousness of learners is maintained,(1) the medical terms are connected, the form is linked, the function is separated, the unit meaning is separated, the single language is connected, the teaching materials are connected, the medical terms are connected, the activities are carried out,(2) the medical terms are formed, the single language is connected, the unit meaning is separated, the medical terms are connected, the medical terms are connected.(3) Application of e-learning, construction of medical terms, connection, meaning, selection of English medical terms, introduction, activity,(4) construction of medical terms, interpretation of medical terms, provision of medical data,(5) implementation of medical terms, and (5) implementation of medical terms. English exercise D teaching guidance results test paper survey The results of the analysis of the paper, all of them, show that the learners have a high awareness of the teaching materials and the teaching contents, and the learners have a high awareness of the medical terminology.
