项目摘要

令和4（2022）年度は、いわゆる探究型教育で求められるスキルやコンピテンシーの基礎研究として、文献調査およびインタビューを行った。また本研究を推進するためデスク用とモバイル用のコンピュータ環境を整えた。探究型教育は令和4（2022）年度から学習指導要領に明記されたため高等学校の授業に強い影響を及ぼしており、各教科ごとに探究的要素をどのように組み込むか、その成果をどう評価するかについて全国的な議論が巻き起こっている。文献調査によりこのことが確認できた。また、探究型教育に注力している複数の私立学校の教員や管理職に対面および遠隔でインタビューを実施した。その内訳は、私立小学校1校、私立高校3校である。どの学校でも例外なく次の3点が実施されていた。1. 探究型授業の評価はルーブリックに基づいて行われている、2. 探究型授業は複数教科の教員らが関わって実践されている、3. 評価ルーブリックは現場の教員らの議論を通じて策定・更新されている。こうした学校の姿勢は、学習指導要領という「外圧」があるとはいえ、インタビューからは教員らがこれからの時代を生きる児童・生徒らに必要なスキルを身につけてもらいたいという強い意志を感じることができた。教員の1人は実際に「VUCA」（ブーカ）という用語を用いた。これは「Volatility」（変動性）、「Uncertainty」（不確実性）、「Complexity」（複雑性）、「Ambiguity」（曖昧性）という単語の頭文字をとったもので、21世紀型スキルや探究型教育を論じる際に頻出する用語である。こうした積極的な姿勢は、具体的な学習指導要領を持たない大学教育、なかんずく多くの大学で必修授業に設定されている英語教育にとって大きな示唆を有すると考えられる。
