今年度は第一に、コロナ禍で実施を見送っていた三春町歴史民俗資料館所蔵川又家文書の整理作業を再開し、同時に撮影した史料の分析を進めた。その中で、特に享保期に発生する三春藩御家騒動について、三春城下町の商業流通政策との関わりから分析する視角を獲得し、分析を継続中である。第二に、同じく中通り北部の福島盆地一帯の社会経済を分析する前提として、明治初年の統計書や郡村誌のデータを整理する作業を進めた。これにより、当該地域の近世期における経済動向の概要を把握でき、本研究が主対象とする近世中期の社会経済を分析し、また他地域と比較するための基本軸を据えることができると考えている。第三に、中通り北部の福島盆地一帯の村に残る史料の撮影を進め、同時に分析を進めた。具体的には、伊達郡関波村渋谷家文書、同郡長倉村吉田家文書、同郡梁川町有文書、同郡北半田村早田家文書、信夫郡福島町穀三文書、同郡同町信夫家文書などを対象とした。ただ、コロナ禍の影響により史料収蔵機関の史料閲覧に制限があり、当初予定していたような複数人による撮影作業は行うことができなかった。第四に、福島盆地の複数領主の政策を相対的に顕彰すべく、福島町に本拠地を置く福島藩の飛び地領の史料を、千葉県文書館で閲覧・撮影した。第五に、福島県内の若手研究者による研究会を立ち上げ、福島県内に残る史料等の情報交換を行いつつ、史料を用いた協同研究をはじめた。多様な関心をもつ研究者と議論を交わすことで、研究の視野を広げられると期待している。
