项目摘要

2022年度は、本研究の初年度として研究全体の再検討をおこない、当該研究のテーマである「相互作用行為としての介護に関する社会学的研究」に関する研究のレビューをおこなった。近年の欧米社会における高齢者研究の顕著な方向性としては、プロダクティヴ・エイジング、さらにはジェロトランセンデンス（老年的超越）といった考え方に基づき、高齢者であることを肯定的にとらえ、高齢者を主体とした調査研究の増加傾向が明らかになった。日本社会においても、最近では高齢者に関する当事者研究として、高齢者の福祉サービスについての調査研究で利用者本位の意味を再考する論文、高齢に伴う障害を肯定的に受け入れながら、ケアプロセスにおける主体的・能動的な参加がケアを受け入れるための新たな役割の形成（要介護高齢期の社会化）が見受けられるようになっていることが明らかになった。しかしながら、高齢者を主体とした実証的な研究は日本ではごく少数で留まっており、依然として高齢者介護における大部分の既存研究においては、介護する側である家族・親族あるいは施設介護従事者などの負担感やストレス感が中心的な課題として取りあげられ、介護状況のなかで高齢者は主として一方的に介護を受ける客体的な存在として、研究対象から除外されている現状にあった。こうした文献研究を通じて、相互作用論・コミュニケーション論ならびに「個としての要介護高齢者」の視点から、高齢者介護を相互作用行為としてとらえる本研究の先駆的な意義が浮き彫りになったと言える。
