项目摘要

本研究は，現在，生徒の社会参加を促す市民性教育改革が進められている中で，理念と現状のギャップがあることを問題視し，生徒の社会参加の実態調査を通し，その市民性形成のメカニズムを明らかにすることを目的としている。具体的には，選挙年齢の引き下げに伴い「主権者」としての立場が変動する高校生に注目し，高校生側と学校側の双方を認識を調べることで，双方の関係性を検討することにする。この目的を達成するために，１年次は，調査の準備として，次の２点を行った。第１は，社会参加に関してこれまで行われた実証研究に関する文献レビューを行い、本研究の位置づけを明らかにすることである。社会参加に関する実証研究には３パターンがあることを明らかにした。即ち，①社会参加のメカニズムを学校・家庭を超えて総合的に明らかにしようとする研究と，②学校教育内の因子と社会参加間の関係を探る研究と，③教育の特定のプロジェクトと社会参加との関係をミクロに検討する研究である。①～③共に社会参加の定義は一定ではなく，学問ディシプリンが異なるため，参照も厳しいことが明らかになった。本研究では，①～③の先行研究を踏まえて，社会参加の定義を国際的な研究から参照し，家庭教育と共に学校教育の多様な試みをリンクさせて，その促進・抑制のメカニズムを描き出すことを重視したいということになった。なお，本文献調査は，「子どもの社会参加を促進するのは何か : 日本の学校教育における実証研究レビュー」として論文としてまとめ，出版した。第２は，文献レビューを踏まえて，生徒調査のための質問紙を作成し，プレ調査を実施し，質問紙を再度検討した。ICCS（国際市民性教育比較調査）などの国際調査を参考に，質問紙を作成したが，日本の学校教育の文脈では必ずしも合致しないものなども見えてきた。精緻化したものを，２年次には適用し，調査を行う予定である。

This study aims to explore the social participation of students in promoting the reform of civic education, to explore the problems of the concept and the status quo, to investigate the status quo of student social participation, and to clarify the purpose of civic education.
