2012年度から中学校における医薬品教育が義務化され10年が経過したが、医薬品教育の効果は義務化後もほとんど変わっていないとの報告もある。医薬品教育の効果向上に向け、これまでは授業内容の検討に関するものが多かったが、現状を踏まえた新たなアプローチを考える必要がある。そのため本研究では、まず中学校で医薬品教育を受けた高校1年生の実態から中学校での教育効果について確認、さらに中学校で医薬品教育を担当する保健体育科教諭らによる高校1年生の実態予測も併せて行う。これらの結果を踏まえ、薬学部教員や学校薬剤師による医薬品教育を補完していくための内容や方法などについて、中学校の保健体育科教諭や養護教諭の意見も踏まえて検討する。次に検討した内容や方法を中学校で実施し、実施の翌年に再び高校1年生の実態を調査して、検討した内容や方法の効果について検証する。2022年度は、石川県金沢市内の高校1年生（各校における任意の1クラス）に対し、中学校での医薬品教育の効果やインターネット情報への意識等についてアンケート調査を実施した。また金沢市内の中学校保健体育科教諭および養護教諭、ならびに中学校担当の学校薬剤師には、高校1年生の回答を予測してもらうアンケート調査を実施した。アンケートの回収結果は以下のとおりであった。すなわち高校1年生については、高等学校19校中18校（94.7％）から回答があり、18校の在籍者数は667名、そのうち634名（95.1％）から回答を得た。中学校の保健体育科教諭および養護教諭については、中学校29校中17校（58.6％）から回答があり、17校の保健体育科教諭および養護教諭の在籍者数はそれぞれ50名および22名、そのうち保健体育科教諭45名（90.0％）および養護教諭20名（90.9％）から回答を得た。中学校担当の学校薬剤師は、29名中16名（55.2％）から回答を得た。
