本研究は、聴覚障害児が行う日常的推論の特徴や認知バイアスを実証的に検討することを目的とし、令和４年度は以下の３つの点について研究を行った。（１）聴覚特別支援学校の児童を対象に容器内の事物の数を推定する課題を実施して、視覚的情報による量的推論への影響について聴児の結果と比較検討した。その結果、聴児は事物の見え方による推定に差がないのに対し、聴覚障害児は容器内の事物が部分的にしか見えない状況で誤差が増加することが示され、視覚的情報の呈示方法が推論に強く影響することが示唆された。（２）聴覚特別支援学校の児童を対象に、「少し」「たくさん」等の数量副詞の量感の推論について検討した。副詞を用いた文を呈示し、副詞が示す量感を描画および数値によって推定させる課題を実施し、聴者成人および聴児の結果と比較した結果、聴覚障害児は聴者成人や聴児とほぼ同様に量感推定を行うが、「いっぱい」「ちょっと」など相対的に強い量感を示す副詞において、より多い（少ない）推定を行う傾向があることが示された。（３）視覚的情報の処理に及ぼす聴覚的情報の影響について、聴者成人を対象とした実験的検討を行った。大学生を対象に、傾斜のある板の上を転がした球の数を推定させる課題を設定し、球が転がる際の背景音が球の数と整合する条件、整合しない条件、無音の条件で推定値の誤差を比較した。またその際に、眼球運動の計測を行い注視点の移動と推定値の誤差との関連を分析した。実験の結果、実際の球の数と背景音が整合しない条件において推定値の誤差が大きくなること、誤差が少ない対象者は視線の移動が頻繁に行われる傾向のあることが示唆された。以上の研究成果について、（１）の結果を論文として公表した。また（２）については令和5年度に開催予定の日本特殊教育学会第61回大会で発表する予定であり、（３）については研究紀要等にて論文として公表する予定である。
