2022年度は、新型コロナ感染によって海外での調査が行うことができず、研究の執行は停滞している。とくに本研究は当該年度に中国農村での聞き取りを行うことを主目的としていたが、中国におけるゼロコロナ政策によって、入国また農村での調査が極めて手困難な状況が続いた。ゼロコロナ緩和後はコロナ感染が爆発的に広がっており、当該年度における現地調査は延期せざるを得なかった。2023年度9月に、中国の現地調査を行うようにカウンターパートとともに調整している。モロッコも現地の状況がコロナ感染により不安定であり、現地調査を進めることができなかった。中国については、Zoomなどによって、ゼロコロナ政策のもと経済活動が停止しており、農業産業化も拡大していない状況が確認された。モロッコについては現地の牛乳協同組合であるCOPAGの、経済状況、経営史に関する情報をインターネットなどによって収集した。2022年度は、コロナ感染下でも研究を実行するため、比較対象として日本国内の流通機関（農協流通研究所、岡山県酪農協同組合、中国地方指定団体など）の実態解明を行った。牛乳流通においては、規制緩和に伴い農家の出荷行動に機会主義的行動の可能性（指定団体以外への出荷など）が現れており、対象国のバザール経済と比較するうえで意味のある実態を知ることができた。中国、モロッコの生産者の機会主義的行動と比較する形でのモデル化をすすめている。
