项目摘要

本年度は、主に以下の三つのアプローチから研究を遂行し、研究成果を公表した。１）カリブ海文学におけるエコポエティック（環境文学）の諸相、２）フランス語圏文学史への批判的考察、３）アンティル諸島の地方主義文学の生成、以上の三点である。具体的にはそれぞれ、戦時期マルティニックで刊行された文化雑誌『トロピック』に現れるエコロジーとイデオロギーの交錯の解明、フランス語圏文学から世界文学へのパラダイム転換に関する批判的検討、及びオリュノ・ララ『アンティル文学と地方主義』（1913年）における「クレオール人」文学の形成過程の考察である。『トロピック』をめぐっては、保守主義的イデオロギーとの逆説的な関係を明確化するため、近年研究の進むファシズムにおけるエコロジー思想の潮流を整理するととともに、フランス語圏の環境文学理論を用いて、『トロピック』誌のイデオロギー的戦略と文学的特徴を明らかにした。その成果は学会発表及び査読付き論文として公表した。また「フランス語圏」理念と「世界文学」観念を歴史化し、現代に隆盛を極めるこれら二つの概念を一旦留保に置くことで、フランス語圏文学の個々の作品と形式そのものの豊穣さが浮かび上がることを、学会講演の形で発表した。アンティル文学の地方主義については、先行研究では外来の視線を内在化しただけの「エキゾチック」文学として断罪されてきたその理念が、実際にはヨーロッパでもなくアフリカでもない「クレオール」としての人格と風土を文学の基調としておくことで、直後の「ネグリチュード」運動や「クレオール文学」への、忘れられた先駆的貢献として存在していることを突き止めた。
