项目摘要

1990年代以降の共働き夫婦の増加と男女共同参画の推進のなかで、ジェンダー役割からの脱却が社会的課題として認知されつつある。本研究の目的は、夫婦の絆に潜むジェンダー・ポリティクスの観点から、コミュニケーション上の葛藤を手がかりとして夫婦の親密性の現状を明らかにし、夫婦関係、ひいては日本社会でのジェンダー平等の実現に向けた萌芽と課題を措定することである。具体的には、①女性たちはどのような夫婦の親密性を求めているのか（理想・ニーズ）、そして、②実際にはどのような情緒的サポートが相互になされ、それをどう受け止めているのか（現実・葛藤）をリサーチ・クエスチョンとする。これら2点について、混合研究法により、個人の具体的な日常生活での経験をマクロな日本の夫婦の議論のなかに位置づけ、「女性＝情緒的役割」というジェンダー・ポリティクスの影響について考察する。2022年度は、上記①②に関して日本の夫婦の現状をマクロレベルで明らかにすべく、全国の20～50代の既婚の男女計1000人を対象にWebパネル調査を行った（研究Ⅰ）。研究計画では、予算の関係から女性のみの調査を予定していたが、実際には男性も対象に加え、より多角的かつ規模の大きい調査ができた。その結果からは、夫婦関係に関する意識や感情面でのジェンダー非対称性の実態を大まかに把握することができた。また、①②について日常的文脈で詳細を明らかにするインタビュー調査を開始し、10組20人に実施した（研究Ⅱ）。調査協力者を募る過程で、調査対象者の条件を一部変更する必要があったが、結果的にはペアでデータをとることができ、より充実したデータが得られた。加えて、夫婦の親密性における感情面でのジェンダー非対称性をとらえる理論的視座・学説の検討、夫婦の対等性に関するより規範的な議論の検討も行った。それらの成果として査読付き論文2本が公刊された。
