项目摘要

飼育チンパンジーを対象とした２０１９、２０２０、２０２１年に行った観察をもとに、排尿同期率を観測値とシミュレーションをもとに算出した期待値を比較し、飼育チンパンジーの排尿が同期していることを確認した。また社会的要因の影響も分析し、これらの結果は２０２２年7月に開催されたInternational Society for Behavioral Ecology Congress 2022で発表し、また論文にまとめ、投稿予定である。初年度の研究計画ではチンパンジーのみならずその他の大型類人猿を対象に種間比較を予定していたが、新型コロナウイルス感染症の影響により国外フィールドの調査が停滞していた。したがって、２０２２年８月にドイツのボノボ飼育施設６ヶ所の視察を行った。現地にて研究者と交流し、飼育に関する情報交換や視認性の確認を行った。その結果、ドイツの飼育施設は日本の飼育施設よりも一般的に飼育エリアが広く、また視覚も多いことから、ボノボを対象とした排尿の観察は困難であるとわかった。２０２２年１０月～１１月には、京都大学熊本サンクチュアリにてチンパンジーの尿の採集をおこなった。今後同施設で尿を使用した実験を計画しており、その準備を進めている。
