1.国際化時代におけるフランス自動車産業の変貌過程と同国政府による政策的関与の実態の解明。寡占企業の多国籍化プロセスの実態分析の一環として、国有化企業ルノ-公団と私企業プジョーを取り上げ、その経営戦略(製造モデル政策と企業集中活動への取組み)の分析をつうじて、戦略対応の差異ならびに産業構造の転換等について検討を加えた。フランスでは大手企業による中小の淘汰をつうじた産業構造の寡占化が進展するが、一方で寡占企業間の「協調」体質が形成された結果、産業構造の脆弱性は温存され、その抜本的改善が遅延し激化する国際競争への有効な対応策を欠いた点を明らかにした。また、上記企業の行動様式には明確な相違の存在することが判明し、企業成長パターンの類型化に向けて一定の展望を得ることができた。これらについては論稿として公表した。併せて、1960年代の北米展開ならびに企業集中等の分析を行った。一連の検討により、北米進出は仏がその体質的脆さを認識する契機となり大型提携=ルノ-・プジョー協定の実現を導く役割を果たしたこと等を理解できた。政府の政策展開については、60年代初頭に政府審議会による報告書の作成等をつうじて総合的な政策提言が行われていることをつかみ、実態解明への有益な手がかりを知ることができた。今後、分析によって得られた新たな知見をふまえ、国際化時代におけるフランスの対応の特質の一端を公表する予定である。2.第二次世界大戦後の仏・欧州経済および自動車産業に関する欧米文献・資料等のデータベース化作業の進展ならびに同データベースのWindows環境への移行。本年度は、継続してより一層の情報収集を行うとともに、パソコン設備の更新によってDOS環境からWindows環境への移行が可能となり、上記作業の効率的な遂行ならびにデータベースの活用を行うことができた。
