项目摘要

本年度は、「令和4年度における新型コロナウィルス感染症の影響に伴う特別研究員の採用期間の特例扱い」を受けたことにより、令和4年12月31日まで研究活動の開始時期を延長していた。そのため、令和4年度の研究開始時期が当初の予定とは大きく異なる1月から3月までという短い期間となり、研究計画の大幅な変更を行わざるを得なかった。そのため、1月から3月までの期間は、来年度から本格的に実施するアラビア語写本調査の事前準備として、西アフリカ・イスラーム史研究の泰斗であるハンウィックが編纂した『アフリカのアラビア語文献』と近年になって整備が進みつつある西アフリカ・アラビア語写本データベースの情報を礎に、サハラ以南アフリカで活躍したイスラーム知識人らのクルアーン解釈学の著作のリストを作成し、着実に調査の準備を進めた。また２月には、スーフィズム・聖者信仰研究会で「イブン・アラビーの言説的伝統を読み解く――イスラーム世界の西の視点から」という題名で研究発表を行った。そこでは、20世紀の西アフリカを代表するイスラーム知識人のひとりであるイブラーヒーム・ニヤースによるタフスィール著作『庭』を分析し、周縁イスラーム世界に生きる知識人たちのあいだでも、イブン・アラビー思想が受容されていることを指摘した。それに加えて、イブラーヒーム・ニヤースが『庭』において、イブン・アラビーの思想的術語群を用いてクルアーンの宇宙論を説明していることも明らかにした。
