The obeject of this study is to propose on the standard of the kitchen of the typical Japanese house . This study is composed of two investigatios.At first, I have tried to analyzed the movement (1987-1997) of the items which are stored in kitchen cabinet, and then have caluculated the desirable amounts of storage space. Now I have suggested the same necessary storage capacity which I reported on about 10 years ago.Secondly, I have performed to find out the actual situation and the ploblem of the kitchen which the aged ( over 65 years ) work in the general houses. As the results, Although the present kitchens which many aged persons use aren' t suitable for them, they are now satisfied with their kitchen. In fact they have experienced the accident there. The ploblem of kitchen differ in the physical condition of the aged.

本研究的目的是对日本典型住宅的厨房标准提出建议。本研究由两项调查组成，首先分析1987-1997年间橱柜内物品的变化情况，进而计算出橱柜的理想储藏空间。现在我提出了同样的必要存储容量，我在大约10年前报告。其次，我已经执行，以了解实际情况和问题的厨房，老年人（65岁以上）的工作，在一般家庭。结果，虽然目前许多老年人使用的厨房不适合他们，但他们现在对自己的厨房感到满意。事实上，他们在那里经历了事故。老年人的身体状况不同，厨房的问题也不同。
