英文摘要
The properties of polyimide membranes and zeolitic membranes prepared on the surface of porous tubular support using the hdrothermal synthesis were evaluated by the pervaporation of methyl tert-butyl ether and methanol mixtures. The experimental results showed NaY zeolite membrane preferentially permeated alcohol in pervaporation and vapor permeation of alcohol/ether or alcohol/benzene mixtures. The high selectivity of the NaY zeolite membrane can be attributed to the selective sorption of alcohol into the membrane. The performance of the NaY zeolite membrane is far superior than any other membrane previously reported. Pervaporation through NaY zeolite membrane provides an alternative to the conventional industrial purification of MTBE and ETBE.The NaY membrane was also characterized by X- ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy.
