项目摘要

自律感覚絶頂反応 (ASMR) とは、視聴覚体験にともなって頭皮や首筋に生じる、心地よいゾクゾクする感覚である。ささやき声やタッピング音などの刺激をトリガーとして、一部の人々（ASMR応答者）はASMRを体験する。初期の研究から、ASMRは共感覚との関連性を指摘されているものの、それらを結びつける直接的な実証データが不足している。１）調査研究：　本研究では、ASMR応答者の共感覚保有率が非応答者よりも高いのか否かを検討した。648名の社会人と学生の母集団（年齢：18歳から60歳）を対象に、ASMRと共感覚の経験に関するオンライン調査を実施した。母集団のうち、ASMR応答者は約20%であった。共感覚者と分類される人々のうち、ASMR応答者の割合が52%であったのに対し、ASMR非応答者の割合は16%であった。したがって、共感覚者の半数以上がASMRを経験していることになる。さらに、ASMR応答者の共感覚保有率は非応答者の4倍以上（22% vs. 5%）に達していた。ASMRは視聴覚刺激と皮膚感覚が不随意的に結びついた現象である。ASMRと共感覚との併存関係を示す結果から、ASMRは共感覚の一形態であるという仮説が支持される。しかしながら、ASMRの主観的な強度は文脈や状況に依存する側面もある。また、ASMRで得られる軽い陶酔感のような情動の起伏は、共感覚では乏しい。実験に基づいた今後の研究では、ASMRと共感覚の類似点とともに、両者の相違点を検証することが重要になるだろう。２）アウトリーチ活動：　非専門家を対象とした研究発表１件、プレスリリース１件、取材対応２件などの活動をおこなった。
