The purpose of this study was to construct mobile computer supported collaborative learning environment which does not restrict field of activity of the children. The prototype system of the groupware for school education composed of next element was developed.1. The client program of the groupware for school education which runs by the Personal Digital Assistant.2. The server program of the groupware for school education which moves in the WindowsNT server.3. Wireless LAN of IEEE802.11 using the 2.4GHz band radio wave.Children and teacher of the elementary school used the prototype program in the class, and the field test was carried out. As the result, next two fact was proven.1. In wireless LAN unlike the wired LAN, it may fail in the transfer of the data in case of the adverse condition. It is necessary to improve the program so that the data may not disappear even in such case.2. Client program which runs by the Personal Digital Assistant has the user interface that it can be simply used efficiently even in primary school child.The development fed back the above result, and the program was improved. However, it could not be sufficiently done to the field test of the program.

本研究旨在建构一个不限制幼儿活动范围的移动的电脑辅助协同学习环境。开发了由下一个元素组成的学校教育群件原型系统.由个人数字助理运行的学校教育群件的客户端程序.运行在WindowsNT服务器上的学校教育群件服务器程序.无线局域网采用IEEE802.11的2.4GHz频段无线电波，小学的孩子和老师在课堂上使用原型程序，并进行了现场测试。结果证明了下面两个事实。与有线LAN不同，在无线LAN中，在不利条件的情况下，数据传输可能失败。有必要改进程序，以便即使在这种情况下数据也不会消失。2.在个人数字助理上运行的客户端程序具有简单、高效的用户界面，即使是小学生也可以使用，开发反馈了上述结果，并对程序进行了改进。但是，对该方案的现场测试还做得不够。
