本研究は平成10年の単年度で実施した。研究代表者の濱崎と研究分担者の中川は,91件の湖底遺跡,193点の関連文献,224点の出土遺物のデータベースを構築し、この湖底遺跡データベースに遺跡の3次元情報を付加し,3次元地理情報システム上で利用できるデータベースの構築を試み,平面的な位置情報だけでなく,高さ方向のパラメータを用いた分析を試みた。湖底遺跡データベースは,遺跡番号,地図番号,遺跡の名称,所在地,遺跡の種類,時代,立地,現状,備考,参考文献,出土遺物などの項目からなる。遺跡番号,地図番号,参考文献の数字は『平成7年度 滋賀県遺跡地図』と則っている。湖底遺跡の位置は湖底遺跡の中心位置の座標を,緯度,経度で計測したもので,数値地図の50mメッシュのデータと整合させるため,度分秒から10進法に変換したものである。標高のデータは報告書に記載してあるものを抜粋したが,当初の調査では標高の記載のないものもあり,また,どの時代の遺構面もしくは包含層の記載なのか不明確なものもあり,標高のデータベースは一部不完全な部分がある。3次元地形モデルは,陸部を数値地図データ50mメッシュ標高のデータを変換して,ArcViewのシェイプ・ファイルを作成し,3次元データとしてテクスチャを貼りつけ,さらにAutoCAD MAP3用のファイルに変換し、利用した。湖底の地形は,湖沼図をもとに入力した。湖底遺跡の位置情報をもとに,3次元地形図の中に湖底遺跡のシンボルをプロットし,湖底遺跡データベースの属性とリンクした。このシステムを用いて,3次元表示が可能な湖底遺跡のデータベースを構築し,現水面からの深さから遺跡の沈下量などを視覚的に分析し,ある領域やある時代の沈下量や地盤変動の解析試みている。
