项目摘要

本研究の目的は,パキスタン西北辺境州に位置するガンダーラの代表的山岳寺院であるラニガト寺院址を研究対象として取り上げ,コンピュータ・グラフィックスを用いて,ガンダーラの仏教寺院を3次元図像として視覚的に復原することにある。仏教寺院址の復原に地理情報システムとCADを用い,写実的な復原をおこない,さらに様々な角度から復原を検証し,復原結果の検討を行うことをその特徴とする。また,地理情報システムを用いて,遺構のデータベースを作成し,復原支援システムを構築し,そての可能性を探ることも目的のひとつである。本年度の研究では,ラニガト遺跡が広大なため,全域の復原には至らなかったが,以下のような成果を上げることができた。ラニガト寺院の3次元データの作成これまでの調査で収集してきた寺院の遺構の3次元デジタル・データや,詳細な実測図をもとに,CAD上で,西南地区の遺構を中心に3次元ワイヤー・フレームで復原した。地形の形状の復原には,データが不足した.動画の作成は3D Studioを用いておこなった。地理情報システムを用いた遺構データベースの構築遺構の時期,構築の順序,種類などの遺構の属性を入力し,文字情報からなる遺構データベースを作成した。さらに,地理情報システムのArcVIewを用いて,遺構の図形情報と文字情報を組み合せ,図形と文字を双方向に検索できる地理情報システムを構築し,遺構の変遷を探る上での地理情報システムの可能性を検討した。今後の課題今回は図形情報としては,ベクターデータのみを用いたが大きく拡大したときの視認性に問題が生じた。ベクターデータなどと組み合わせた検索システムの構築が今後の課題である。
