本研究の目的は、以下の3点である。第1に「労働力調査」のミクロデータを可能な限り時系列的に利用し、単年コーホートの縦断データを作成し、有配偶女性の労働力参加のネット趨勢を明らかにする。第2に、家族形成期における労働力参加のリスク要因・プッシュ要因として有配偶女性個人のライフコース条件、家族・世帯条件ならびに社会経済条件が作用するとの枠組みにたち、その動態をさぐる。その際本研究では、家族・世帯条件に着眼する。第3に「就業構造基本調査」のミクロデータを時系列に利用し、入職過程ならびに離職過程の動態をさぐる。使用するデータは、「労働力調査」(集計表データ・ミクロデータ)、「労働力調査特別調査」(1996、1997年・集計表データ)「就業構造基本調査」(集計表データ・ミクロデータ)である。なおミクロデータ分析は、平成9年度、平成10年度に総務庁より目的外使用許可を受けた。「労働力調査」ミクロデータ分析から、1943-69年単年コーホートのネット趨勢として、有配偶女性の家族形成期における労働力参加に関しての3局面が明らかとなった。すなわち25歳以前(労働力率>家事者率)、26-34歳(家事者率>労働力率)、35歳以上(労働力率>家事者率)である。労働力参加のリスク要因として子ども有無・人数を検討した。子どもをもつことで労働力参加が抑制される、さらに子どもがない状態から1人もつことによる効果は年齢が低いほど高かった。一方で子ども人数が増えることは直線的な効果をもたない。20歳台後半以降では、「1人」から「2人」へ移行することで労働力参加は促進される傾向が確認された。プッシュ要因として、世帯内のサポート資源の有無を検討した。サポート資源の存在は労働力参加を促進していることは確かめられたが、その効果は子ども人数、末子年齢等との関連性が示唆され、その検証は今後の課題として残された。

The purpose of this study is to explore the following three points.
