小学生と大学生を対象にダイナミクスのつけ方の適否を変えた演奏の評価が適切にできるがどうかを検討した先行研究(大浦、1996;大浦・菅原・榊原、1997)を更に進め、本年度は幼児向けの演奏材料を新たに作成し、就学前児童を被験者として演奏の評価実験を行った。材料はモーツアルトのピアノ小品から選んだ4つの部分で、1曲につきそれぞれ3演奏(「オリジナル演奏」、「平坦な演奏」、「ランダム演奏」)を用意した。被験者は幼稚園の年長児45名。そのうち39名はピアノの未学習者、残りの6名は入門者である。実験の結果、年長児ではピアノ演奏の未学習者でも入門者でも、ダイナミクスの付け方の適否に対応した分化した評価がされているとは言えないことが明らかになった。小学2年生の未学習者群も幼稚園の年長児の場合と同様に、演奏に対して分化した評価がされているわけではないことが報告されている(大浦はか、1987)。小学校6年生と大学生を対象とした研究(大浦、1996)では、少なくとも「オリジナル演奏」 「平坦な演奏」「ランダム演奏」の3演奏については、いずれの年齢群においてもピアノ演奏技能の有無に関わらず適切に分化した評価が可能であることが示されていることから、小学校2年生から6年生の間で、これら3演奏の評価に関わる評価基準が獲得されることが示唆される。一方、ピアノ演奏の練習をしている場合は、ダイナミクスに対して早い時期から注意を向けていることが実験結果からうかがえる。幼稚園年長児の入門者群では評価基準は必ずしも共通ではないものの、評価の際にはダイナミクスの変化という要因に注意を向けていた。小学校2年生の初級者群は6年生と非常によく似た評価パターンを示すことが大浦はか(1997)から明らかになっっており、ピアノ演奏の基礎的技能を習得する間に、ダイナミクスの付け方の適否に基づいた評価基準の獲得がなされることが分かる。
