「ミシェル・フーコーと「プシュケーをめぐる諸科学」の認識論」に関する研究を進めるべく、今年度研究員は、『狂気の歴史』においてフーコーが関心を寄せた狂気における決定論と自由の関係、および『言葉と物』における主体、人間、無意識という諸概念の関わりという二つの研究テーマに関して集中的に検討を行った。第一の研究テーマに関して研究員は、1961年に刊行された『狂気の歴史』においてフーコーが展開した、狂気における決定論と自由をめぐる考察、および狂気と真理の関係をめぐる研究が、1946年にボンヌヴァルで開催されたコロック「神経症および精神病の心因発生論」において精神分析家ジャック・ラカンと精神科医アンリ・エーの間で交わされた精神医学の認識論的・倫理的基盤をめぐる議論から大きな影響を受けている点に着目し、それとの関係においてフーコーの狂気論の意義を明らかにすることを試みた。今年度研究員が第二に取り組んだのは、1966年に刊行されたフーコーの『言葉と物』とラカンの『エクリ』を検討し、構造主義をめぐる論争において主体、人間、無意識という諸概念がいかなる布置をなしているかを明らかにするという課題である。構造主義が前景化した「理論的反人間主義」はこれまで主体概念の抹消を企図したものと見なされてきたが、これに対して研究員は、フーコーおよびラカンの企図が主体概念と人間概念を分離し、構造的無意識との関わりにおいて新たに主体の位置を定めることにあったことを明らかにした。この研究成果について研究員は2014年11月27日にボルドー・モンテーニュ大学で開催されたコロック「極東思想と西欧思想における主体：交差するアプローチ」において口頭発表を行った。
