本研究は、モロッコにおける権威主義体制延命メカニズムの解明を通じて、名目的な反体制勢力であるイスラーム主義政党「公正開発党」の政治活動と体制持続の因果関係を明らかにすることである。具体的には、次の3つの問題に取り組んだ。（1）国王を中心とした支配構造と政治制度の研究：　既存の研究では、フランス保護領期を経てもなお存続する国王の伝統的権威や支配構造の持続性が注目を集めてきた。しかし、独立後の国家建設の過程において、国王は自身の絶対的権威を維持しつつ、複数政党制や二院制などの民主的政治制度を積極的に導入している。そこで、国王がいかにして伝統的な支配制度と近代的政治制度の融合を図ったのかという点を明らかにする。（2）公正開発党のイデオロギーや政治戦略の変遷の分析：　国王が政治的に利用する「公的な」イスラームに公正開発党はどのように対応し、イスラーム主義的イデオロギーを提示しているのか、国王とのイスラームをめぐる相克を分析する。また、公正開発党が政党間／イスラーム主義組織間関係からいかなる影響を受けているのかを丹念に精査する。（3）公正開発党の社会の支持基盤研究：　イスラーム主義政党の政治活動を分析するためには、その支持基盤を解析する必要がある。そこで、公正開発党の支持率が高い選挙区を選び出し、質問票等を使って支持基盤の実態（所得、学歴、年齢など）を明らかにする。平成26年度（第2年度目）には（1）を中心に研究を進めた。現地調査で得られた資料やデータをもとに、独立以降の国家建設の過程において、歴代国王がその権威を確立するため、いかなる支配の正統性を利用してきたのか分析を行った。とりわけ、毎年載冠記念日に行なわれるバイア（忠誠の誓い）の儀礼に焦点をあて、王朝支配の歴史的連続性と国王の有するイスラームの正統性が、近代的な制度的枠組みの中に巧みに組み込まれている状況を明らかにした。

This study focuses on the causal relationship between the political activities and institutional maintenance of the democratic party "Justice Development Party" and the anti-institutional forces. The specific problem is to choose the group of three. (1) The research on the central and dominant structure of the king and the political system: the existing research on the protection of the state period, the existence of the king's system, the persistence of the dominant structure, and the focus of attention. During the process of nation-building after independence, the king maintained his absolute prestige, and actively introduced a democratic political system with multiple political parties and two chambers. The integration of the traditional ruling system and the modern political system (2) The analysis of the political strategy of the fair development party: the king's political use of the "public"; the fair development party's political strategy of the fair development party; the analysis of the opposition between the king and the political strategy of the fair development party. The relationship between political parties and political organizations is closely examined. (3) Research on the social support base of the fair development party: analysis of the political activities of the socialist party, analysis of the social support base. The support rate of the fair development party is high, the election area is high, and the questioning vote is high. The support base status (income, education, and year) is high.
