本研究は、現代アラブ君主制諸国のうち、規模の小さな諸国家(以下、現代アラブ君主制小国家群とする)の体制維持メカニズムと脆弱性を、通時的な比較研究によって明らかにすることを目的とするものであった。 この目的を達するため、昨年度までの2年間に (1) ヨルダン・ハーシム王国の体制維持メカニズムの解明を通時的視点から遂行したほか、(2) 現代アラブ君主制小国家群という国家類型そのものをマクロに捉える理論的視座の構築、(3) その国家類型のもとで営まれる社会的合意の形成の様態、政治と社会の実態について知見を深めてきた。 本年度は本研究課題の最終年度として、現代アラブ君主制国家群という政治体制類型をめぐる理論的視座と、その政治体制類型の特色、統治の実際に関するミクロな事例分析をまとめ、現代アラブ君主制小国家群論を提示することを目的とした。研究成果の発表としては、学会誌への2つの論文の発表、国内・国外での2つずつの口頭学会発表を行った。そこでは、3つの研究テーマを取り扱った。第一として、近年のヨルダン君主制における君主主導の改革イニシアチブという主題を扱い、学会誌への掲載、口頭発表にて成果の発表を行った。第二に、ヨルダン君主制における歴史的な支配構造の転換という主題を扱い、2回の口頭発表にて成果の発表を行った。第三に、バハレーンを中心に、湾岸地域の君主制における君主制の政治という主題を扱い、論文誌への掲載、口頭発表にて成果の発表を行った。これまでの2年間の研究成果に加え、これら3つの成果をもとに、研究成果の総まとめとして博士論文を完成させ、2018年3月26日に京都大学博士（地域研究）を取得した。

This study aims at a comparative study of the institutional maintenance and vulnerability of modern monarchy countries and small countries (hereinafter referred to as modern monarchy countries). During the past two years, the goal has been achieved.(1) The system maintenance of the kingdom has been carried out from the viewpoint of the system of understanding and communication.(2) The theoretical vision of the modern monarchy of small countries has been constructed.(3) The desirable formation of the society of the country has been formed. Political and social reality is a matter of understanding and understanding. This year is the final year of this research project. The theoretical basis, characteristics and governance of modern monarchy state groups and political system types are analyzed. The purpose of modern monarchy state groups is suggested.
