Developing a solution to eliminate dish soap plastic packaging

Homethings is a producer of household cleaning solutions made from non-toxic ingredients and encapsulated in the form of a tablet to remove any unnecessary water from the logistics chain, which allowed for the 100% removal of the single-use plastic bottle. To complement the mission of eliminating plastic, Homethings has also developed a robust series of glass bottles/dispensers to instil their customers with a notion of re-using and refilling. Homethings managed to reduce the weight of the shipped product by 93% and therefore saves the corresponding amount of CO2 emissions as compared to a standard 500ml bottle of store-bought detergent. This project is set to develop a formula for the first-ever tableted dish soap that would replace the 500ml dish soap plastic bottles and instead be dissolved by the end-user at home in the complimentary dispenser that would ensure the product's quality and effectiveness in each use.
