G Smyth Boats are currently developing a small fishing vessel, the Fast Cat. The Fast Cat is manufactured with a design that utilises a lightweight composite hull. Many traditional small fishing vessels are constructed using steel hulls. Through this feasibility study, G Smyth Boats are seeking to explore the current Atlantic Canada inshore commercial fishing market to gain the information needed to create a new export trading route.G Smyth Boats will focus on achieving two main project outcomes. These are the development of a product development strategy and a market entry strategy.
