Project Summary Special Projects – Sample Collection Sampling is arguably the most critical step in generating reliable laboratory data. IDALS will collect an expanded number of samples on this project by two means. Retail RTE cheese samples and pet food will be purchased at retail by trained laboratory personnel. Feed samples will be collected from commercial feed mills under an in-house agreement with the FDA credentialed inspectors of IDALS’ Commerical Feed and Fertilizer Bureau. All samples will be entered into iMobile as a means to pre-log them into our LIMS system. Samples will be delivered to the laboratory. Proper handling and storage will be conducted prior to testing. Enhanced sampling will help assure a safer feed and food system.
