EcoTech Projects CIC (ETP) is a UK-based agritech SME with a core project team of Project Lead Turin Bridge, Technical Lead Ryan Watson and and Microwave Engineer Christopher Page. ETP is solving a significant unmet need with its microwave pyrolysis machine that will allow continuous biochar production on an industrial scale. ETP will make the large-scale production of biochar accessible to farmers by drastically reducing the associated energy costs. ETP's solution improves on existing production processes, which are currently either wasteful or only feasible for small-scale/research purposes. Increasing access to biochar also addresses the issues of soaring fertiliser/food costs. It aligns with the government's Innovation Strategy and helps it stay within its carbon budget.
