英文摘要
**Eluxevo** is a brand with a vision to bring about a revolution in legacy heating practices; through sustainable and affordable warmth that leverages socio-material attachment; that flexes to individual household practices; that generates consumer-led advocacy and a product demand-side pull amongst friends, family and followers.In accordance with UK Innovation Strategy and 'build back better', this project seeks to develop an innovative multi-sensory domestic heating platform. The aim of this is to create opportunities for private sector investment across the whole of the UK, as well as address the energy, environment and wellbeing technologies section of the key seven technology families.**Project mission:** The UK must reach Net Zero by 2050: in 2019 domestic heating contributed to 17% of UK carbon emissions, 77 million tonnes (BEIS, February 2021). Eluxevo is solving the problem of decarbonising homes through a faster, sustainable and cost-efficient via a decentralised and scalable solution. Our mission is three-fold:1. **Decarbonise all UK homes:** 54% could be unsuitable for a heat pump (www.eua.org.uk). Eluxevo aims to cut-carbon by 40% compared to existing electric storage heaters and make it comparable to low-temperature Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP) (ref. BEIS Cost-Optimal Domestic Electrification, August 2021).2. **Reduce barriers to entry:** a modular and low-cost system starting at 10% of the cost of an ASHP installation with half the labour and minimum disruption, it can complement or replaces existing central heating whilst saving space.3. **Develop a product portfolio for a fair net-zero transition:** to low-carbon products of affordable heating and wellbeing solutions, that help the most vulnerable, minimise excess winter deaths and to reduce pressure on the NHS (ONS / NEA 2021).Funding awarded to this project will allow Eluxevo to develop and refine its domestic heating platform, with an equal focus on personal wellbeing, energy efficiency and an intuitive human interface, through lab trials.**Eluxevo**'s beneficiaries are broad:* **Users** can benefit from a low-risk and scalable solution that looks great and feels great.* **Property developers** gain space and reduce planning demands of wet-systems and can bring experiential added value to a property, whilst reducing labour costs and supply chain complexity.* **Tax payers** gain from a more equitable and sustainable transition, to affordable domestic heating that reduces the impacts of fuel poverty and the green transition on the public purse.
