PlusZero's innovation is focussed on the development of additional and novel space heating functionality to our portable clean power generator solution that would more than double the overall energy efficiency of the system. This would in turn double the amount of carbon savings achievable from the same amount of green-hydrogen fuel when our portable power solution is deployed. While combined heat and power is a well-established technology for larger scale, permanent installations used to power and heat buildings such as hospitals, it has never been done on a portable basis.PlusZero provides hydrogen powered combustion engine generators as a carbon-free, clean portable power alternative to diesel generators. Our generators have already been successfully demonstrated at a range of high profile events including Edinburgh International Festival, COP26, Edinburgh Castle and the 2022 HebCelt music festival, but can also be used in numerous other sectors including construction, film and TV production and back-up power generation. Our generators convert 40% of the hydrogen fuel's energy into electricity. 60% of this energy is lost through heat. Our innovation seeks to capture the heat loss from our generators and use it to meet the demand for space heating at our customer's site. This innovation would allow us to decarbonise our customers requirements for both power and space heating at a given site and increase the energy efficiency of each kilogram of green hydrogen used when deploying our solution.
