There is a global need to improve the delivery of eye care as ophthalmology is the second busiest hospital department after Accident & Emergency. Long waiting times and appointment backlogs to see specialists have been exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic and also by the susceptibility of our ageing population to deteriorating eye health. Our software product addresses key areas in eye care :* keep a significant proportion of patients within community care (i.e. high-street optometrists);* reduce unnecessary referrals to hospitals;* reduce waiting times for the delivery of sight-preserving care and reduce costs, as patients will receive the right care at the right time in the best location.Ultimately, this helps improve patients' quality of life.
