Breakout Manchester is a market leader in Escape Rooms and has been since 2014\. They employee over 90 people in the North West, have an escape room on a TUI cruise ship and have sold their game designs to over 15 countries across the world. Breakout has always been at the forefront on innovation in the social activities market and are launching a new gameshow style concept in 2023 named Challenge Point.Teams of 2 - 6 compete in a series of crazy gameshow style challenges, with the aim of earning as many points as possible. The team with the most points will then face the final round and be in with a chance of winning some unique and insane prizes. For Challenge Point to be the success that we know it can be, it must include games that are completely unique, fun and innovative. From research conducted we strongly believe that one of the potential games strongly ticks all these boxes. The competition money will allow us to develop a fully functional, innovative game that customers will not stop talking about called the Ball Pit.Contestants enter a nearly empty room. At the far end of the room are 3 buckets painted in 3 different colours which are inaccessible due to a barrier. A short video brief is shown on a TV screen and then the game begins. A gap in the ceiling opens up and several different coloured small plastic balls fall out. Contestants have to catch or regather the balls and throw them into the corresponding buckets. They are rewarded points if the correct colour goes into the correct bucket. Balls can drop down from the ceiling at several different points and speeds. Contestants must act as a team and as quickly to score as many points as possible before the room fills up entirely of small plastic balls.Challenge Point will result in the creation of many new jobs in the Manchester area for both skilled and unskilled workers. It's a fun social activity that can be enjoyed by all, from young kids, to families, to work colleagues and friends. Over the past few years we have all seen the impact of loneliness in wider society, this game brings people together in a fun and interactive way. For young kids it will improve both their social and cognitive development. Can you beat the Ball Pit?
