This project aims to address demand in a new and growing area of the cake craft market, by using 3D printing technology to make unique and varied machine tooling, used in conjunction with desktop injection moulding equipment, to develop a new system of cutters and stamps that will allow professional and novice bakers to easily decorate cookies in stylish, coordinating shapes and designs. It is expected to enable the business to deliver small volume, flexible, and efficient production of products that comply with food contact requirements.The project is anticipated to deliver incremental sales in a new category and generate further sector growth through cake and cookie micro-businesses.
