Cyber criminals are now targeting individuals and organisations with mobile phishing attacks - via SMS, Whatsapp, social media and email - to trick them into giving away sensitive data. This presents a serious and costly challenge for organisations, consumers and the UK economy. Organisations currently face a significant challenge as they are suffering costly data breaches and cyber attacks as a direct result of mobile phishing attacks. Consumers are similarly challenged by falling victim to mobile phishing scams which are emotionally traumatising and lead to substantial loss of personal time and money.Whilst there are some Cybersecurity mobile apps, called Mobile Threat Defence (MTD) apps, on the market that claim to offer some web protection for Android, iOS and iPadOS devices; they do not solve the challenge as they:* aren't catching novel phishing attacks,* are privacy invasive, and* are too complex for users. At Traced, our vision is to live in a world where anyone can comfortably easily and securely use the same device for work and play. So we developed the "Trustd Mobile Security" MTD apps for Android, iOS and iPadOS to solve the security, privacy and complexity challenges surrounding mobile threats; are trusted by 30+ UK businesses to-date and have been downloaded by 300k+ mobile users. We are now looking to further solve the security challenge of mobile phishing by conducting research and development of a novel mobile phishing Cloud lookup Service to combine with cutting-edge existing technologies. This innovation aims to more accurately detect novel mobile phishing web links than already available solutionsBy integrating this innovation within the Trustd MTD apps, UK organisations, consumers and the economy will benefit as we will:* prevent costly cyber attacks for businesses;* reduce identity and bank fraud for consumers;* improve national mobile security; and* grow the UK economy.
